4.7.5 Significance of RSS
he introduction of Relative Spatial Similarity represents an important methodological contribution of the ULVF framework.
Traditional land valuation models generally assess predictive accuracy by comparing estimated prices with observed market prices. Such evaluations focus primarily on numerical errors and provide limited information regarding the preservation of spatial structure.
In contrast, RSS evaluates whether the spatial organization of urban value remains consistent throughout the computational process. This enables the ULVF framework to assess not only prediction accuracy but also the structural integrity of the Urban Land Value Field.
Accordingly, RSS establishes a mechanism for validating the internal coherence of the theoretical framework while supporting reliable land-price determination based on spatial value relationships.
