Urban Land Value Field (ULVF) Research is a systematic scientific program dedicated to understanding, modeling, and analyzing the spatial organization of urban land value through mathematical, computational, and geospatial approaches.
Unlike conventional land valuation, which primarily focuses on estimating the value of individual land parcels, ULVF Research investigates urban land value as a continuous spatial field characterized by spatial interactions, multi-scale structures, and mathematical relationships among urban elements.
The objective of ULVF Research is not only to improve the accuracy of land valuation but also to establish a scientific theory capable of explaining the spatial structure of urban land value and providing a rigorous foundation for GIS-based analysis, intelligent land valuation, and digital land administration.
To achieve this objective, ULVF Research is organized into three complementary components:
Scientific Foundations, which establish the philosophical principles, mathematical foundations, and theoretical basis of the Urban Land Value Field.
Research Design, which defines the methodological framework, spatial data architecture, computational procedures, and validation methods for ULVF-based research.
Research Laboratory, which demonstrates the practical implementation and scientific verification of ULVF through computational experiments, H3 multi-scale spatial modeling, GIS analysis, and real-world urban applications.
Together, these three components constitute an integrated scientific system that connects theory, methodology, and computational experimentation, providing a comprehensive foundation for next-generation urban land valuation and spatial analysis.
